#12 - Frankenstein (1931)

There's not much I can say about this one... an absolute classic. The interior of Frankenstein's tower is one of the greatest set pieces in all of film, with it's crooked stairs and oddly placed windows that cast long shadows on the stone walls. The shots near the end of the burning mill are also amazing. Karloff is creepy as the monster, but you also feel more than a little bit bad for him. This film is 80 years old now, but it hasn't lost any of it's appeal.
