#32 - Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007)
I enjoyed the first Wrong Turn movie for what it was, but it didn't strike me as the kind of movie that needed multiple sequels (Wrong Turn 5 just came out!). I mean, the setting and plot are interchangeable with basically any "young people go into the woods, get killed" movie, but I guess the original made enough money to justify a franchise. As far as direct-to-video sequels that don't really need to exist in the first place go, though, this is actually not that bad.
The plot doesn't have much to do with the original, other than being set in the same area and featuring some similar mutant redneck villains (they have the same car as the bad guys in the first movie, but otherwise appear to be totally different - cousins maybe?). A bunch of people are filming a reality-TV "survival" show in the woods, which mostly involves wandering randomly through the forest. The acting is mostly very bad, and characters are all pretty unlikable, with the exception of Henry Rollins as the host of the show. He is basically the only reason this movie is worth watching - if you don't think Henry Rollins going all Rambo and killing a bunch of mutant rednecks sounds awesome, this may not be the film for you.
If you don't mind low budget DTV schlock, and want to see Henry Rollins being super bad ass, I recommend this one. If you have good taste, though, it's probably not worth it.
