#22 - The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)
(dir. Jim Cummings)
A series of gruesome killings rock the small town of Snow Hollow. All signs point to some kind of large animal as the culprit, but Officer John Marshall is sure that it is the work of a disturbed serial killer. He finds himself constantly one step behind the killer, and as the pressure on him increases he must also battle his personal demons.
I really enjoyed this! I keep seeing it billed as horror/comedy, but it's very light on jokes and actually gets into some pretty heavy subject matter. It does have a dark and dry sense of humor, but don't expect to be laughing out loud all that often. The cast is good and even the minor characters have more depth than you'd expect from this kind of film. It's also Robert Forster's final film, RIP.
As far as werewolf films go, this is the best one I've seen in a while.
