#7 - Final Destination (2000)
Final Destination (2000)
A young man about to take a transatlantic flight with his high school French class suddenly has a vision of the plane exploding, and panicking, runs off the plane and brings several classmates with him. After the plane actually does explode, the survivors begin to die one by one. Despite the varying quality of the sequels, this first film in the Final Destination series is a pretty good movie. It takes the slasher genre to it's logical next step, eliminating the middle man and simply having the cast stalked by Death itself.
If you are afraid of flying, the first 20 minutes are probably the scariest part of the film. If you aren't, there are plenty of other moments that will remind you that pretty much any household object can kill you. The elaborate chain-reaction death scenes are the highlight here, as well as an awesome cameo from Tony Todd.
