#10 - Clown (2014)
(dir. Jon Watts)
When Kent needs something to wear for his son's clown-themed birthday party, he stumbles upon an antique clown costume in the basement of a house he is renovating. He puts on the costume to entertain the party, but soon finds that he can't get it off. He slowly begins to transform into a... (spoiler alert) clown. Turns out, clowns are actually based on an ancient Scandinavian demon who eats children, and Kent finds himself hungering for blood.
This was surprisingly good. It's not so much about scary clowns as it is about how terrifying it would be to slowly transform into a monster. There are some excellent moments of body horror along those lines. It is also a very funny movie, with a hilarious performance by Peter Stormare as a former victim of the costume. Just a warning that the humor is extremely dark - jokes about suicide and eating children probably aren't for everyone.
If you like horror comedies, I highly recommend this one.
