Horrorthon 2014 draws near...

My 6th annual horror film marathon will be starting soon!  My goal is to watch 31 horror films before Halloween, one for each day in October.  The only rule I follow is that I try to avoid movies that I've watched as part of this challenge in past years... this becomes more difficult each year, and it's hard to avoid watching classics like Halloween or Evil Dead this time of year.  See previous posts on this blog for what I've already watched.

In addition to films, this year I'm adding an additional challenge - to read 31 horror short stories by Halloween!  I haven't decided if I'll do a full blog post for each one yet (probably not), but at the very least I'll list them and talk a bit about what I liked and what I didn't.

Finally, check out that sweet French poster for Hammer's "The Curse of the Werewolf".  I just watched that one recently so it won't be on this year's list, but it's one of the best classic werewolf films I've seen.
