Happy 10th Anniversary!

This year marks the 10th year in a row I've been binging on horror films for the month of October (and often, parts of September)! For the first two years, I posted some very brief thoughts on each film via a Facebook note, and then expanded on those when I started this blog in 2011. Over the years, I have watched 290 different films for these marathons, and the total is over 300 if you count repeats.

To celebrate this milestone, I decided to redesign the blog a bit. It was looking a little dated, so I went with a newer layout that highlights the movie posters on the main page - I really like how it looks, and it should make browsing through older posts simpler and a lot more enjoyable (it's kind of cool just to scroll through and look at the posters). I also added tags to every post, so you can easily filter by genre or decade. I created a custom header too, which I think makes the whole thing look much better and less like a generic Blogger template.

My most popular post from last year (by quite a bit) was My Recommended Horror Movies on Streaming, so I'll be doing that again at least once, as well as some other posts that discuss topics other than specific films, maybe highlighting certain directors, or sub-genres, or whatever... I haven't really decided on these yet, but I think it could be fun to write some posts that are more than just film reviews.

Finally, to really make this year stand out, I'll be doing this all throughout the month of September, too (probably starting sometime next week).  I'm still going to keep my goal at 31 films, but the extra time will allow me to write some other posts, as well as take some days off so I don't burn out early.  And of course when I hit 31, I will keep going until Halloween is over!

I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read this blog.  Please do not hesitate to comment, share, etc.  Thanks!
